About the Topic

Nathaniel Gonner, S.E., AISC, will present a live virtual webinar about recent updates to the AISC Specification for Structural Steel Buildings (ANSI/AISC 360-22) published last year. He will discuss key updates for the practice of steel design as well as substantive technical changes and their impacts on the end users of the standard.

About the Speaker

Nathaniel Gonner, SE, is the Director of Specifications at the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), where he oversees the development of all their standards, including the Specification for Structural Steel Buildings (AISC 360).  He serves as the secretary of AISC Committee on Specifications and sits on ASCE 41 committee on seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings.  He serves as the steel instructor for the SE exam preparation course for the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois and has taught steel design as an adjunct lecturer.  Before joining AISC, he spent eight years as a consulting structural engineer working on a variety of building projects.
